Successful ENV.net training session in Prishtina

Last week on 11th and 12th June, ENV.net staff organised the training session “Environment in the European Union: Funding Mechanisms and Policy Processes“, in Prishtina, Kosovo.

The main objective of the course was to provide a general understanding of the necessary steps to be successful in getting funds from the EU and enable participants to actively participate in call for proposals launched by the European Commission and the EU Delegations for projects to be implemented in Kosovo or abroad.  The course aimed also at supporting Kosovar CSOs to familiarize with selected EU environmental policy areas, highlighting possibilities to be better informed and involved and seek ways how they can contribute to the national and EU policy making.  In particular, the course  focused on: the EU programming process, the calls for proposals system, EU environmental acquis and the ways CSOs from Kosovo can be involved to the ‘approximation’ process.

More than twenty people participated with great interest to the course.
