Let’s clean up Europe

The Let’s clean up Europe campaign is organising a European Clean-Up Day for the 10th May 2014. Several clean-up campaigns have been implemented in Europe over the past years to tackle the litter problem. This campaign intends to bring these initiatives together  to have a Europe-wide clean-up event that takes place on the same day all over the continent; involving and reaching as many citizens as possible.By being part of “Let’s Clean Up Europe!” and helping to clean up their environment, participants can see how much waste is being dumped in their neighbourhood. This action provides a unique opportunity to raise citizen’s awareness on the litter problem and to help changing people’s behaviour

Do the right mix campaign

The central objective of this campaign is to promote the advantages of combining different modes of transportation. The campaign bears the slogan ‘Do the Right Mix’, and aims to highlight and advertise the fact that by using different modes of transportation for each journey as appropriate, people can improve their health, their finances and the environment. The campaign is managed by the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport and funded through the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme – the EU’s support programme for non-technological actions in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources
